Telcona Team building 2025 – Rafting & Safari on Tara / Drina river
In the summer of 2025, the Telcona team went on a team-building event with a theme of rafting and safari on the Tara and Drina rivers. The trip started from the Telcona's technology center in Belgrade, all the way to Bosnia and a riverside camp near Foča on the Drina. The journey was long, so the rafting program began on the second day. Off-road vehicles took us up narrow mountain roads to the starting point, where we began our 25 km river descent, which lasted a little over 3 hours.
The rafting started on the Tara River, which forms the border between Bosnia and Montenegro. The rapids carried us through stunning nature and crystal-clear waters all the way to the confluence of the Tara and Piva rivers, where they merge to form the Drina. Along the way, we took a refreshing swim in the river. Halfway through, we stopped for a break on a sandy-rocky beach. Upon returning to the camp, we carried the raft out of the river and enjoyed a dinner with the best homemade food, all locally produced by the rafting camp - meat, vegetables, and more.

The next day was just as exciting. On the agenda was a nature safari with scenic hikes. Our guide for the day was Drago, a very experienced and talkative guide who shared tons of interesting facts about the surrounding area. We once again drove along narrow mountain roads, this time in 4x4 jeeps perfectly suited for the terrain. Our first stop was the Strmena Stijena viewpoint, located at 724 meters above sea level. Although the walk was short, not everyone made it—some turned back due to the rocky terrain and steep steps. The journey then continued to a horse ranch and up to a mountaintop restaurant offering a breathtaking view of the Tara Canyon.
There, we took a nature walk around the restaurant to a nearby viewpoint. From there, we could see the rocky peaks surrounding the restaurant, and we learned that a zipline stretches across those peaks. To reach it, however, we had to climb the "iron path", a via ferrata equipped with a long steel bridge suspended between two cliffs.

Only a few of the bravest dared to make the climb. The route across the cliffs offered spectacular views of the Tara Canyon, where we saw rafts navigating the river far below. At the top of the cliffs, every gust of wind felt five times stronger. When we finally reached the zipline launch point, it took a lot of courage to go through with it—but in the end, everyone managed to soar across the canyon at an altitude of 1,068 meters. A drone followed us throughout the entire adventure, capturing every thrilling moment.

an experience we’ll never forget...
It’s truly an experience we’ll never forget. It’s truly an experience we’ll never forget. And the lunch afterward tasted even better.

Afterward, our guide took us back to the camp, from where we began our return journey to Belgrade, taking with us an unforgettable memory.
